Studio 67: Tabla Soul / Indian Classical Tabla Solos

When I was asked a few weeks ago by Ravi Singh if Brian and I would be interested in filming a Tabla concert I had to be honest and admit I really didn't know what that was. Ravi and his beautiful fiance Angela are one of our couples getting married in 2010 and during our consultation appointment he was kind enough to share with me what Classical Tabla music is. He, himself, is a performer and has played with various other musicians from West-African, South-Indian and Afro-Cuban multi-percussion artists/bands. Once he explained that he had organized this very special evening of music which would also include 3 other world-reknowned Tabla musicians I knew this was something we definitely wanted to be a part of. We have put together this short promotional piece from the concert.
